UNWANTED HAIR IS TOO MUCH HAIR!
How many of us fear it most that we may become the lady in the hospital or nursing home with nobody who cares enough to tweeze out those long, unsightly hairs for us?
Before you tweeze or wax another hair or pre-pay for laser treatments please consider:
Have you done the math?
If you start at age 20 and stop at age 65, waxing once a month at a cost of $20, you will pay upward towards (or more than) $10,000 for hair that grows back!!
Electrolysis is still the only way to permanently get rid of that unwanted hair (and at a fraction of the cost of a lifetime of waxing)!
You may not be completely familiar with Electrolysis. Finding a great practitioner is something like searching for truth in a secret society. Many people have heard lots of myths and scary stories... and I want to set things straight.
Electrolysis has been used successfully since the late 1800's to disable hair follicles and prevent new hair from growing back. It works by inserting (like a finger in a glove) a tiny wire into the follicle next to the hair and then delivering to the hair-growth cells a small amount of high-frequency current.
Laser treatment for hair reduction is now a mere teenager (approved to treat unwanted hair in 1995), but it's been enough time to see evidence of its lack of success and more than a few dissatisfied clients. We need to take another look don't we?
Now, the baby boomers are getting gray, retiring and needing thicker glasses every year. That Laser machine can't see those stubborn, white hairs for us, and it can't treat them. However, your electrologist can see and treat all colors, depths and sizes of unwanted hair!

One of the most requested areas for treatment for women of any age:

... and after age 40, the upper lip. This hair actively grows for a few weeks (the Anagen phase). then, it begins to die. It dehydrates and lifts out of the lower follicle and up to the surface of the skin. Did you know that up to 70% can rest in this position (the Telogen phase) for months?
Laser can't treat Telogen hairs; they are too shallow and too dry. Electrolysis can successfully treat any hair in any phase of growth. Skin of color is especially difficult to treat with laser without complications because of the pigment in the surface of the skin.
Laser treatment is based on the concept that the dark pigment in the underlying hair is what attracts the light of the laser, and thus the heat it generates. However, if the skin is absorbing the light.... oops. Problems. I've seen it for myself. Many of my clients are those for whom laser treatment failed. Previously treated hair with laser is now growing back with a vengeance.
Don't pay for Laser treatment and fall for its claims only to risk having no success with it. This leaves you with still having to pay for successful permanent hair removal!
